Beyonce Knowles: Billboard's Woman of the Year Fri, 2-Oct-2009
Continuing to rake in the accolades, Beyonce Knowles was a big winner at Billboard’s 4th Annual Women in Music event in Midtown Manhattan on Friday (October 2).
Fresh off of a weekend trip to Singapore, the “Irreplaceable” songstress looked stunning as she accepted her trophy after being named Billboard's Woman of the Year.
During the afternoon affair, Billboard's Editorial Director, Bill Werde, introduced the hitmaker, telling attendees, "It is theoretically possible someone on some other planet had a better year than Beyonce, but I'm not buying it."
While making her way through the press line, Miss Knowles was asked her thoughts on Kanye West, replying, "Everyone makes mistakes. It's unfortunate, but he's a good person. And I think its important to stand by friends." |
