Beyonce Shows Her Helping Hand, Rocks MSG Tue, 23-Jun-2009
Fresh off of kicking off her Stateside tour last night, Beyonce Knowles stepped out for charitable reasons in New York City on Monday afternoon (June 22).
Joining Sarita Finnie of Hamburger Helper and Vicki Escarra of Feeding America, the "Cadillac Records" cutie attended the national "Show Your Helping Hand" hunger relief initiative kickoff at Madison Square Garden.
Posing for pictures, Miss Knowles teamed with Hamburger Helper for the charity drive - with a stated goal to "help Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger relief charity, deliver more than 3.5 million meals to local food banks."
According to the charity's Web site, "you can get involved by submitting codes on specially marked boxes of Hamburger Helper, donating groceries at Beyoncι's concerts in cities across the U.S., or by donating directly to Feeding America."
Not long after her good deed for the day, Beyonce was back doing what she does best - as she took the stage for the second of a two-night run at MSG.
