The “Come on Over” songstress is reportedly staying single for at least the next six months. A close friend told press, “She needs time to clear her head, so she’s putting dating on the back burner.”

Another inside source added, “Jess knows she’s overly needy and tends to define herself by the men she’s with. Jessica wants to figure out what she does to repel men and fix it. For the time being, she’s refusing to be set up, she doesn’t want to date, and she’s definitely avoiding meaningless hookups.”

During her dating off-season, Jess is also looking to get back into good physical shape. “Right after Tony ended things, Jessica said, ‘I want my old body back.’ She went into her kitchen, got a trash bag and started to clear it out. Jess is serious about getting her body back into fighting shape. Working out is helping to give her focus and clear her head. It’s better than sitting around moping or throwing pity parties with ice cream sundaes. She doesn’t want to give anyone more reason to not take her seriously. She’s tired of weight being a talking point.”
